Cheap OUIGO Trains Now Connect Brussels and Paris

Travelers between Belgium and France now have another low-cost train option between Brussels and Paris.

OUIGO, the low-cost rail service operated by French railway company SNCF, now runs a direct service between Brussels-Midi and Paris-Nord. The service operates on conventional railway lines rather than the high-speed network used by Eurostar.

The journey takes around three hours, making it slower than Eurostar but potentially cheaper for travelers who are more focused on price.

Three Daily Round Trips

OUIGO currently operates three round trips each day between Brussels and Paris.

Trains from Brussels-Midi are scheduled to leave at 7:37 a.m., 1:38 p.m. and 6:38 p.m., with arrivals at Paris-Nord at 10:35 a.m., 4:42 p.m. and 9:41 p.m.

In the opposite direction, trains leave Paris-Nord at 8:11 a.m., 12:05 p.m. and 7:27 p.m., arriving in Brussels at 11:21 a.m., 3:21 p.m. and 10:21 p.m.

The route also serves several intermediate stations, including Mons, Aulnoye-Aymeries, Saint-Quentin and Creil.

Tickets Start at 10 Euro

One of the main attractions of the service is its low starting price.

OUIGO advertises tickets between Brussels and Paris from 10 euro for a one-way journey, although the cheapest fares depend on the travel date and seat availability.

Children under 4 can travel free when accompanied by an adult, while children from 4 to 11 years old can travel for a fixed 8 euro fare under the applicable conditions.

A Cheaper Alternative to Eurostar

For travelers who do not need the fastest possible journey, OUIGO provides another way to travel between the two capitals.

Eurostar remains the much faster option because it uses high-speed rail, but OUIGO is aimed at passengers looking for lower fares.

The service has also expanded the number of affordable travel options between Belgium and France, particularly for tourists, students and people traveling on a budget.

OUIGO Tickets for Late 2026 and 2027

As of October 2026, OUIGO is already selling Paris-Brussels services. Tickets for journeys from December 13, 2026, through July 2, 2027, went on sale on September 30, 2026. OUIGO says its conventional trains are generally released for sale 60 days before departure.

This means travelers planning a trip between Brussels and Paris can continue to use the service into 2027, subject to the published timetable and availability.

For passengers looking for an affordable alternative to Eurostar, OUIGO has become another option for traveling between the two major European cities.
