Marbella Plastic Surgeon Shot Dead in His Own Clinic

A renowned German plastic surgeon has been shot dead inside his luxury clinic in Marbella, Spain. Police have arrested an 18-year-old Swedish man in connection with the killing and are investigating whether the attack was ordered by someone linked to a dissatisfied patient.

Dr. Alexander Aslani, 57, was attacked at his Cirumed Clinic shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, according to Spanish media reports. The killing has shocked Marbella’s wealthy international community, where the surgeon had built a reputation for high-profile cosmetic procedures.

Masked Gunman Opened Fire Inside Clinic

A masked attacker entered the clinic in Marbella, on Spain’s southern Costa del Sol, and approached Aslani before firing several shots at close range.

Emergency responders arrived to find the surgeon still alive, but they were unable to save him. He died shortly afterward from his injuries.

Witnesses reported that the attacker fled on a motorcycle. Investigators are also examining reports that another person may have helped him escape.

Spanish police arrested an 18-year-old Swedish national in connection with the murder on October 8, less than 24 hours after the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to establish the motive and determine whether other people were involved.

Who Was Alexander Aslani?

Aslani was a well-known figure in the cosmetic surgery industry, attracting patients from around the world to his Marbella clinic.

He reportedly performed more than 15,000 procedures during his career, including approximately 7,000 Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) operations. The procedure uses a patient’s own fat to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks.

The surgeon also developed a substantial social media following, with more than 200,000 followers on Instagram. His clinic became a destination for international clients seeking cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Police Investigate Possible Patient Dispute

One of the main lines of investigation concerns the possibility that the killing was connected to a dispute with a patient.

According to Spanish media reports, the clinic received angry messages from a female patient shortly before the shooting. She reportedly demanded a refund and made threats. The woman’s partner had allegedly visited the clinic earlier and threatened staff.

Aslani had reportedly filed a police complaint in April after receiving serious threats related to his professional work.

However, investigators have not publicly established who ordered the killing or confirmed that the reported patient dispute was the motive.

Investigators Examine a Second Possible Motive

Police are also examining whether the murder could be linked to the death of a wealthy South American patient who had previously undergone surgery at the clinic.

Authorities are working to determine whether that case had any connection to the attack. At this stage, the possible motives remain part of an ongoing investigation.

The arrest of the Swedish suspect represents a significant development, but detectives still face the task of establishing the full circumstances surrounding the killing.

For now, the murder of one of Marbella’s best-known cosmetic surgeons remains an active criminal investigation, with police seeking to identify any other people who may have played a role.
