Woman and Daughter Killed in Kraainem

A 46-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter were found dead Friday morning at their home in Kraainem, Flemish Brabant.

The victims, identified as Magali and her teenage daughter Coline, are believed to have died from stab wounds. Their deaths may have occurred Thursday night.

The woman’s 50-year-old husband has been arrested as a suspect. Authorities have not yet determined exactly what happened.

A forensic doctor and crime lab were sent to the scene, while an investigating judge was appointed to investigate the suspected double homicide.

An autopsy was carried out Friday afternoon and confirmed that both victims appeared to have died from stab wounds.

The suspect is expected to be questioned Saturday. Prosecutors said all possibilities remain open as the investigation continues.
