Groom Dies on Way to His Wedding in Belgium

A man died in a car crash in Libin, in Belgium’s Luxembourg province, on Saturday afternoon while he was on his way to his own wedding.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on Rue Jules Philippe, according to the Luxembourg public prosecutor’s office.

The man was traveling in a car driven by his wedding witness when the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to Libin Mayor Anne Laffut.

Emergency crews from Neufchâteau and Libramont were called to the scene. The driver was injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The victim was on his way to his wedding when the fatal accident happened.
